I am honored and privileged to serve as the ASHRAE Northern Pakistan Chapter President for the 2017-2018 term. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. M. Riaz Baig and his team for their work and dedication in the last term.
I also admire the efforts made by Outgoing President Mr. M. Riaz Baig and the successes he gained in such endeavors to promote the standing of the chapter among other chapters in the society. I wish to have his continuous involvement in such activities and necessary support for me to do better. It is up to us to how to benefit from, getting involved in chapter activities is one of these. We would like to become a focal point gathering all experts working in the fields of heating, refrigerating and air-conditioning in Pakistan. This vision is derived from the ASHRAE’s mission of advancing “the arts and sciences of HVAC&R to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world”.
I am happy to note the positive attitudes of the new committee chairs to work in collaboration with each other while shouldering one single responsibility among the key activities involved in the preparation and conducting of chapter events so that no one feels it difficult to volunteer. I quite understand it is difficult to spend time for these voluntary activities when commitments in their individual businesses have to be given more priority.
My motto is to convince and drive our membership to get the maximum benefit by being a member of ASHRAE, and to encourage others in the trade to become members to enhance their competency in the subject.
I believe I will get the ably support from all the other committees too, to carry out the intended activities during the course of the year, in very cordial manner as usual with their due commitment, dedication, hard work and enthusiasm.
